Winfield Township Elected Officials

 

Dona L Smith, Supervisor

Dona is a life-long resident of the area who lives in West Chicago with her husband, Phil.  Dona has three children, four step-children and several grandchildren.  Dona served as Township Clerk for 6 years before currently serving as Supervisor, which she started serving in 2003.  Dona has spent most of her adult life involved in community activities, including the West Chicago Youth Commission Open Gym, National Night Out and the West Chicago Lion's Club.  Dona is President of the West Chicago Mosquito Abatement District and a member of the DuPage County Health Coalition.  Dona is also the President of the DuPage County Association of Township Supervisors.

Joseph V. Jedlovec, Jr., Highway Commissioner

Joe is well known throughout Winfield Township where he has lived all his life.  He and his wife, Mary, live in unincorporated Warrenville and are proud grandparents.  Joe has served as Winfield Township Highway Commissioner since 1989.  Prior to that he was a Senior Civil Engineer at the DuPage County Division of Transportation for 20 years.  He is a decorated Vietnam Veteran and is active in several community organizations such as the West Chicago Lion's Club.  His expertise on road construction and maintenance has earned him awards and recognition from many groups.  Joe is also very active in county-wide and state-wide Highway Commissioners organizations.

Mark W. Malay, Assessor

Mark spent his formative years in Winfield Township and decided to remain here with his wife, Laura, to raise their two children.  Mark has worked in the Township Assessor's Office for the past 20 years, with the last 15 years serving as our elected Assessor.  His expertise and fairness as a Township assessor earned Mark the honor of serving as a past President of both the Northern Illinois Township Assessor's Association and the DuPage County Assessor's Association.

 

Clifford A. Brown, Township Clerk

Cliff and his wife, Jacqueline, have lived in Winfield Township since 1979, and have three children. Cliff has been the Township Clerk since 2003.  He is a CPA and CFO of a public traded company.  He is the current President of the DuPage County Clerk's Association.  Cliff also was a youth baseball manager for 10 years and continues to be active in the Restoration Ministries, both as a board member and treasurer. 

Trustees

Fred A. Dusza

Fred is a 30 year resident of Winfield Township and is an Air Force Veteran.  He and his wife, Maryann, have two sons and a daughter.  Fred is very active in the village of Winfield where he served seven years on School District Board #34, two years as a Village Trustee, and four years as Chairman and Commissioner of the Winfield Fire District.  Besides being a Winfield Township Trustee since 2001, he is currently the Treasurer for the West Chicago Mosquito Abatement District.

Francis J. Kammes

Fran has lived in Winfield Township most of his life.  He and his wife, Lynne, live in Winfield and have two daughters.  He is a state certified real estate appraiser.  Fran also held a position on the DuPage County Board of Tax Review where he helped make decisions on real estate assessments.  Fran and Lynne currently have a family-owned real estate appraisal firm.  Fran has been a Winfield Township Trustee since 1989.  

Gerald E. Ruzicka

Jerry is a life-long Winfield Township resident.  He and his wife, Cynthia, raised three daughters.  Jerry served with the U.S. Air Force.  Upon his discharge, Jerry began a long successful career in the pharmaceutical industry.  He has been active in a variety of local groups, serving 13 years as a Warrenville girls softball coach.  Jerry has been a Winfield Township Trustee since 1993.

Mary Ann Manna

Mary Ann is a 12 year resident of Winfield Township and is married to her husband Jim.  Mary Ann is a real estate broker.  Mary Ann is also a board member of the West Chicago Mosquito Abatement District.  She is the current president of the West Chicago Rotary Club, a director of the West Chicago Chamber of Commerce, member of the Winfield Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the West Chicago Lions Club.  Mary Ann has been a member of the High Lake Homeowner's Association Executive Board since 1997.
