Patching/Paving
“When is my road going to be repaved?” is a frequently asked question. Typically roads in a specific area of unincorporated Winfield Township are re-surfaced every ten years. However, due to rising paving prices and budget restraints, the re-surfacing schedule has been delayed by three to four years. The schedule for patching/paving is as follows:
2023
- Equestrian Cr
- Pamela Ct
- LaVergne Ln
- Bender Ln
- Yvonne Ln
- Twin Oaks Dr
- Wallace Rd
This list is tentative and streets may be deleted to accommodate the prices in the contract.

Roosevelt Road (Illinois 38) Repaving
The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) will begin work starting May 12 on its project to resurface Roosevelt Road (Illinois 38), from Pierce Avenue, in Wheaton, passing through Winfield, to Technology Boulevard, in West Chicago. As part of this IDOT project, intermittent daytime lane closures will occur on Roosevelt Road in Wheaton.
Motorists can expect traffic delays during this project, and IDOT recommends drivers consider alternative routes. Please use caution in work zones, watch for flaggers and signs, and follow all posted speed limits.
This project is expected to be completed in November 2025. For more information, visit IDOT’s website.
